August, 2026 - Everything, everywhere, all at once

I mentioned in an earlier post about starting freelance writing and how I had no idea what I was doing, even though I’ve been a journalist for a long time and even assign stories to freelancers at my current job.

Regarding Substack, I’ve decided to provide one free post and one paid post a week. Check it out! To subscribe, there is a form on the right side of this page.

In the Substack post, I announced I will be documenting my step by step journey to freelance writing, including ghostwriting. To that end, I have decided to add a page to my ghostwriting business, Executive Ink Consulting, to my personal website, Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. This will appear in the menu at the top of the page.

Doing this will allow me to consolidate all of my writing in one place, more or less. And I will differentiate my portfolio as well. Keep watching this space!

A lot has happened during the past several months.

First, I’ve moved to a paid model on Substack. I pledged at least two posts a month, but I will increase writing. This change reflects my plan to focus on quality and consistency. Subscribers can expect more regular updates and thoughtful commentary.

Writing resources for Summer’s End

Second, I’ve received and am implementing beta read suggestions on my novel, Summer’s End. I want to give a shout out to AutoCrit.

The plan for Summer’s End is to get a book deal. When it’s ready, I will be pitching to both agents and publishers. Of course, I will bring everyone along.

I recently had an epiphany about my writing. Realizing this, I have often halted my progress. But no more. Join me as I navigate traditional publishing, freelance article work, and ghostwriting. I have 19 years of experience in B2B publishing and am ready to use that experience in a freelance manner.
